Is Athletic Training for You?


The certified athletic trainer is a highly educated and skilled allied health professional who specializes in athletic health care.

As a certified athletic trainer, you'll be a memeber of the sports medicine team providing health care to individuals engaged in activities, exercise and/or sports.

You'll work under the direction of a licensed physician, providing services within the following areas:

  • Prevention

  • Clinical evaluation and diagnosis

  • Immediate care

  • Treatemnt, rehabilitation and reconditioning

  • Organization and administration

  • Professional responsibility

    To achieve recognition as a certified athletic trainer, you must complete a rigorous educational porgram comprised of classroom learning and clinical experience along with passing the national BOC certification exam.
