You earn a History degree. Take advantage of our Center for Southwest Studies and Delaney Research Library, a mecca for history scholars world wide. Then after you graduate, you can teach 7th through 12th grades.
In pursing your degree, you can benefit from of our small classes, quality faculty, hands-on learning and liberal arts focus. Combine this with our Teacher Education Department and you'll graduate with the experience, confidence and the licensure you'll need to teach.
Don't hesitate. Schedule a meeting with the Director of Teacher Education as early as possible. This way you can have your teaching license the same day you earn your bachelor's degree.
You'll take part in our annual Teacher Education Career Fair. We attract more than 30 school districts from Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas, among other areas. They interview and hire our graduates.
