Fort Lewis recognizes outstanding academic achievement through merit scholarships. These scholarships are applied to tuition. Students may receive only one four year merit scholarship to cover tuition costs.
You can receive these scholarships each year for four years if you meet academic requirements.
Presidential Tuition Scholarship
Eligibility: 121 admission Index
Annual award: $8,000 out-of-state / $2,000 in-state
Provost Tuition Scholarship
Eligibility: 110-120 admission index
Annual award: $7,000 out-of-state / $1,500 in-state
Dean's Tuition Scholarship
Eligibility: 101-109 admission index
Annual award: $6,000 out-of-state / $1,000 in-state
Academic Promise Tuition Scholarship
Eligibility: 92-100 admission index
Annual award: $4,000 out-of-state / $750 in-state
Eligibility: 3.5 College GPA and above
Annual award: $2,500 out-of-state/ $1,000 in-state
Eligibility: 3.0-3.49 College GPA
Annual award: $1,500 out-of-state/ $500 in-state
New Mexico Reciprocal Scholarship (note: awards are limited)
Eligibility: New Mexico resident Freshmen with 110 index or higher
New Mexico resident Transfer students with 3.5 GPA or higher
Annual award: In-state tuition rate (approx. $12,000 value). Reciprocal recipients are not eligible for the other Fort Lewis merit-based scholarships.
Native American Tuition Scholarship
Eligibility: Member of federally recognized tribe
Annual award: Full-tuition, about a $15,000 value out-of-state; $3,000 in-state. This is a tuition scholarship and recipients are not eligible for other tuition scholarships like the New Mexico Reciprocal or other merit-based awards.

Fort Lewis College offers many other scholarships. They're designed to reward students who demonstrate academic achievement, strong academic promise, leadership ability and a strong commitment to community service or co-curricular activities.
You may be eligible. All students who meet the minimum academic criteria are encouraged to apply. But you must apply for admission to the college by January 15th. Don't miss out. Apply early.
