El Centro Dancers

El Centro de Muchos Colores

El Centro provides a place for those interested in Hispanic culture. It's a place where you can kick back, study, use computers, touch up on your Spanish or simply hang out with friends.

Who comes to El Centro? Everybody, or en espanol, Toda la Gente. It's the Center of Many Colors "El Centro de Muchos Colores." Variety and diversity is always better, so we open El Centro to any and all interested participants.

El Centro educates others about Hispanic culture. It does this through food sales, Christmas Reenactment of Las Posadas; National Hispanic Heritage Month events, live music performances, guest speakers, Latino movie nights, in-house cultural library, international maps and flag resources, community outreach with Durango Latino Education Coalition and a student-run publication called La Movida

You'll find El Centro in Berndt Hall, Room 420.
