Improve your critical thinking, writing skillsThe Fort Lewis College Writing Program will improve your critical thinking and writing abilities. The Writing Program plays a central role in Fort Lewis’ General Education program.
The program features the basic skills for reading and writing courses, the college-level composition courses, elective writing and speech class.
We also:
- Provide writing support to any student through one-on-one tutoring in the Fort Lewis College Writing Center.
- Offer developmental reading and writing courses (TRS 90 and TRS 91) to prepare students for the first year course in academic reading and writing.
- Support the departmental faculty teaching writing-in-the-disciplines courses.
- Collaborate with the Campus Writing Board to promote a writing-rich curriculum across campus.
- Offer occasional upper-division elective courses in writing for academic, civic and professional purposes.
The Writing Center gives you a place where you can get help with any writing assignment or project for any class. And it's free.
