Honoring Our Students

Graduating with Honors in Fall 2009

To graduate with honors, students must have earned, in residence at Fort Lewis College, no fewer than 60 semester credit hours. No honors are awarded upon receipt of a second bachelor’s degree. Grade point averages required for honors are as follows:

• Summa Cum Laude - Grade point average of 3.8 to 4.0
• Magna Cum Laude - Grade point average of 3.6 to 3.79
• Cum Laude - Grade point average of 3.4 to 3.59

*Honors are calculated according to the student's GPA up through the Winter and Summer 2009 terms. We are unable to include their GPA for the current Fall term since grades will not be due until after commencement.

Fall 2009 Student Marshals

Student Marshals are students graduating with the highest GPA’s and at least 60 credit hours from Fort Lewis College. The Marshals  lead the group of graduates into the gym and  are the first to walk across the stage to receive their diplomas.
