Computer Resources

Yahoo ranks Fort Lewis College ninth in the nation among most wired small colleges. We're also fourth among the nationwide Consortium of Public Liberal Arts Colleges in the student-to computer ratio for our computer labs and classrooms.

At Fort Lewis, you'll find one computer for every six students. All together, we offer about 600 computers for students on campus. You'll find them in 14 computer labs campus-wide, residence halls and academic and support services departments.

As a student, you have access to PCs and Macintosh computers, printers and a wide-variety of software. All lab computers have full Internet connections. They are typically available seven days a week.

Once you enroll, you'll receive a computer account, free Internet access, electronic mail, and other campus computer resources. These accounts begin the first day of the term in which you enroll.

You can also access the campus Ethernet data network, telephone and voice-mail systems, and cable television system from the campus residence halls and apartments. A modem pool provides students with access to the college servers and the Internet from off-campus.
