The International Programs Office facilitates global study experiences that are accessible to all students. Students can expand their academic studies beyond our own borders through three programs:
International Exchange -- Students attend partner institutions and receive academic credit. They pay tuition and fees to Fort Lewis College.
Direct Enrollment -- Students attend university classes with local students, international students and other study abroad program participants. This option includes language institutes associated with the universities. Students split payments between Fort Lewis College and the affiliated partner universities.
Study Abroad -- Students receive academic credit from third partner program providers, paying their tuition and fees directly to the institution or agency.
There are thousands of study abroad program sites. Fort Lewis currently offers pre-approved International Exchange, Direct and Study Abroad programs in the following countries:
| Argentina | Australia | Chile |
| China | Costa Rica | Czech Republic |
| Denmark | Finland | France |
| Germany | Hong Kong | Hungary |
| Israel | Malta | Mexico |
| New Zealand | Norway | Spain |

The International Program Office is the liaison between these programs and Fort Lewis College. It's also a resource to help you make the best choice for studying in another country.
You can extend your studies beyond our borders. Many international students also attend Fort Lewis as part of our exchange program.
