KDUR

The Fort Lewis College campus radio station, KDUR gives students a voice on campus, and gives the college a voice in the community.

This 30-year-old radio station began with a 10-watt signal broadcasted from the basement of the College Union Building, reaching students campus-wide. Today, KDUR is heard over Durango and much of La Plata County, thanks to its Missionary Ridge translator.

KDUR Community Radio provides a bridge between Fort Lewis College and La Plata County with diverse music, local public affairs and alternative news programming. The station runs around the clock with volunteer student and community member DJs.

Students earn credit working at the station in the Music, Promotions, News and Operations Departments. Or they can receive training and become DJs for fun. It's a great place to practice news writing and production and get on-air time. The experience helps build resumes and prepares students for more intensive internships elsewhere.

If you're in La Plata County, tune your dial to 93.9 and 91.9. Listen to quality programming and sound with a balance of news, music and public affairs.
