Through the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), first-time freshman students in certain western states may qualify for a tuition reduction based on their high school academic performance and ACT or SAT test scores.

Qualified students pay 1.5 percent of the gross tuition rate. Academic criteria for the WUE vary based on the student pool. Awards are renewable for up to 10 continuous fall and winter terms if all continuing requirements are met.
The WUE is a program coordinated by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE).
